Forgiven is a Western feature set in early 1800s Connemara.
A reformed rebel daughter is forced from the comfortable Protestant middle class she married into when her father is executed and her husband abandons her for London following the 1798 Rebellion. Forced to return home, she finds herself faced with the life she'd fled - the killing of occupying soldiers, her first love, and what it means to come home.
Forgiven earned a place at the 2024 Stowe Story Labs Connemara Writers’ Retreat on the Fís Eireann fellowship.
Currently working on two episodic dramas; a supernatural procedural and a spy thriller.
In early draft stages of two drama features.
